How to Write Video Game Articles and Where to Get Huge Traffic For Your Video Game Articles

When thinking of writing video game articles I can think of no other place than N4G.com. N4g.com is a referral site so you can expect the news to come from different popular websites such as IGN.com, gamestop.com, 1up.com and lots of others. This website is the first place I go to when I want to get fresh news about what is happening in the industry world wide. And that's where I want you to begin from.

Go to the website and get fresh news on things happening in the industry and pick a particular topic of interest. You can pick a particular game that is in development and write an article on it. Do your researches about the game using news feed from different sites that show up on N4G.com. When you have gathered enough facts about the game you then proceed with writing your article.

Write your article in a style that will interest a gamer. Try as much as possible not to make it sound too formal. Most gamers prefer to read facts so do a thorough research about them before writing any thing as this could get you into trouble with fan boys if you get it wrong.

Know your boundaries when writing about a particular console. Try to get every fact you can get about all the consoles or platforms out there before you start writing about them. Know what their fans like and hate about their console. For a start you need to learn about the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Sony PSP, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii, the PC platform, iPhone, iPod touch and most recently iPad. Try to gather as much facts you can get on these platforms and be careful not to aggravate their fans when you write.

You can do research on games that are of particular genre such as First Person Shooter (FSP), Action Adventure, Puzzle, Sports, etc. Some genre of games can generate more traffic than others so narrow it down to any one of the popular genre of games you think will draw more attention. You can start with first Person Shooters as they are the most popular ones amongst them all.

To use your article to generate traffic to your site you need to submit it to article directories. Try book marking it with Digg. You can also submit your website to N4G.com, del.icio.us, Netscape. If you want to learn more about any of this Web 2.0 services just Google it. Best of luck to you.
